Usually, the Handvo recipe is either made using lentils or even with a mixture of beans. The basic ingredients used in this recipe include rice, lentils onions, green chilies, garlic, coriander, salt, and spices for the seasoning.
You will also require a tablespoon of oil, a quarter cup of onions, half cup of tomatoes, half cup of green chilies, one cup of dry gram or masala, a teaspoon of salt, a quarter cup of mixed dal or gram, a quarter cup of coriander leaves, and a quarter cup of water. First, boil the lentil in water and mix them. Then put the coriander leaves in the water. All these things should be in a pan with a cover.

Directions
Take a bowl to add 5 spoons of barnyard millet to it.
Wash it 2 - 3 times, now add sufficient water and soak it for 3 hours
After 3 hours, separate the water and barnyard millet.
Add Barnyard millet to a mixer jar, add /4th cup full curd.
Now add a small piece of ginger and 2 green chilies.
Grind it as a fine paste.
Batter is very runny with this batter we can’t make handvo.
So to make the batter thick I am adding here ½ cup foxnut in the mixer jar.
Now grind it, as we know foxnut absorb a lot of water, it helps to thick the batter.
Now wash and peel carrot and pumpkin.
Grate it.
In the batter add finely chopped green chili,3 spoons of grated carrot.
5 spoons grated pumpkin, a handful of coriander leaves, cumin seeds, sendha namak, or fasting salt.
Mix well. Our handvo batter is ready.
We can make 1 medium size handvo with this batter.
Take a pan heat it.
Add ½ tsp ghee, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, and sprinkle some finely chopped coriander leaves.
Now spread the handvo batter on the pan.
Cover it and cook for 5 min on slow flame.
Now turn the other side.
Cook it for 5 min.
Over healthy vegetable, millet handvo recipe is ready to serve.
Serve hot with chutney or curd.
