How French toast is made generally?
French toast is generally taken in both sweet and savory forms. Generally, Savory French toast is made up of bread, milk, and spices soaked in beaten egg and then pan-fired. This French toast then can be served with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup.
When served as a sweet dish, the French toast is added with sugar, cinnamon before pan-frying. Further, it is then also topped with honey or sugar syrup to enhance its sugar taste. Eggs are an important part of western French toast.
In its eggless form, the traditional eggless French toast is mixed with custard powder and milk and topped with sugar or spices.
Both the above methods of making French toast may add more calories because of the amount of oil used. Further white bread is its base which is refined carbs and increases the glycemic load, hence it is not appropriate for persons with glucose intolerance.
Thus, if you are on a weight loss diet the traditional French toast may not fit into your low-calorie meal. Further vegetarians cannot have it because of eggs.

The bread center is also cut and cast away and filled with a stuffing of lentil, cottage cheese mixed with chickpeas flour, and lots of vegetables.
